Examples of Double Standards?

Double standards:

Men are expected to fill all the lowest and most dangerous positions in society. The 20 most dangerous jobs in the US are overwhelmingly male. During divorce, men will typically not get custody of their children and will have to pay alimony even if their spouse is at fault for the divorce. Men can be conscripted into military slavery in the US; women cannot. Men in academia must publish more and better to get the same jobs women get. Men can be forced to pay child support for a baby they don't want but women have the right to terminate the pregnancy. Men are much more likely to be mentally ill, homeless, in poverty, and mentally and physically disabled. Funding for prostate cancer is far lower than funding for breast cancer. It's permissible for women to weaponize feminism in the attempt to dominate men; it's not permissible for men to challenge any part of the feminist agenda.

FUNFACTS FRIDAY:

Did you know that in the UK men who call themselves "trans-women" are twice as likely to commit murder as they are too be murdered.

Did you know that the alleged doxxing of a man who calls himself a woman by Cathy Brennan (the most evil of all the evil TERFs) was in fact Cathy Brennan contacting that person's DOCTOR to tell them that they had made statements that indicated they were a threat to themselves and others.

MRAs also go after Cathy Brennan because she refused to be silenced when she went after a man (another man who believes himself a woman) who was harassing women in the womens toilet. This man felt so bad about it he threatened to top himself but refused to stop harassing women.

Gosh. A woman who won't shut up about male violence.

You know what. Women shouldn't be silenced by male violence.

Women shouldn't be silenced when men decide to hold themselves hostage.

Cathy Brennan is a fucking hero. Cathy Brennan has done nothing wrong. She deserves a goddamned medal!

As shoeonhead rightly remarked, this is like reading the rantings of someone on an acid trip.

Do you have a source for this? It would be a huge contrast to the common US narrative that trans people are uniquely frequent victims of violence (I'm not familiar enough with the data on that to know whether it's true).

I get the impression you have neither done acid nor talked to anyone tripping.

"Things like gender identity are unsolid reals, perhaps, or they could be an unsolid unreals.

I think we should be more concerned with solid reals, because they tend to leave bruises. "

That is the ranting of someone tripping.

Tara Wood (Tanis Oscar Wood) is in court next Thursday for plea hearing for assaulting a 60 year old woman (Maria MacLachlan). Masked trans activists will be there in support: essentially they are supporting Wood and thereby endorsing violence against women. Trans activists on this thread are lying about it: I’m not sure whether they are lying to others deliberately to manipulate or whether they are lying to themselves.

Note that trans activists think that a) it’s ok to punch women who don’t believe that trans women are female; and that b) if trans women who punch women are sent to prison as a result, they should be sent to women’s prisons. Presumably where they can punch women who don’t feel comfortable showering with them or sharing sleeping quarters with them.

Most tranny "victims" in the US are black prostitutes working the streets, and big surprise here I know, but the kinds of people who frequent black prostitutes in black neighborhoods are also highly prone to violence.

Trans people are less than 1% of the population. It’s remarkable how much energy we’re expending on them.

Because trans people are a lightning rod for obsessive TERF/MRA retards.

Watching triggered feminists and conservatives behave like acid-tripping psychopaths is instructive and hilarious.

I'm fairly certain that asserting that the feminists in this thread are "acid-tripping psychopaths" wont stop their arguments from rad-pilling people here.

Trannies are psychologically ill perverts. They deserve our sympathy. But they should not be able to force public policy that backs their whims with the force of the State.

That they've been able to commandeer so much of the public discussion is a mystery, and it is likely part of the same forces that got Trump elected.

Never heard the term "TERF" before reading this thread. Looked it up: "Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist." In other words, every feminist who lived and wrote prior to the last decade or two. It's fun watching the left eat itself. The whole "Jews are oppressive bigots" is a nice one too, even though there is a bit more truth to it (which wouldn't be hard to pull off, obviously).

Jerry

Thanks Jerry, but I'm not sure why you'd bother. The thread has clearly been derailed by....God knows what and is not likely to get back on track.

I'm not sure why many people are even frequenting a philosophy forum: they're posts are as well argued as youtube comments. If their trolling and/or venting is the nature of their contribution to rational discussion, they will either a) never be gainfully employed or b) don't deserve a job in academia in the first place.

Also, as another commenter claimed (correctly) long long ago (many moons and above in fact), the thread was very derailed off the foraging trail.

A few hours ago, trans woman Tara Flik Wood (previously known as Tanis Jacob Wolf) was found guilty of assault by beating and fined £400.

Wood specifically went to an event that was organised to discuss proposed changes to the Gender Recognition Act with the intention of using violence against women who do not agree that he is female. He and his supporters believe it is justified to do so. The fact that everybody, regardless of their beliefs, sex or gender identity were welcome to attend the event and join the discussion makes this premeditated act of violence even worse.

It beggars belief that some feminist groups have lent their support to Wood for assaulting a 61 year old woman. Apparently it is now politically correct for young males to seek out and beat elderly females who wish to maintain legal protections for females. However, Wood's actions and lack of repent only lend weight to the case that legal protections for females should be maintained.

"The transgender community widely supported Wolf/Wood’s violent actions, including many high profile trans activists such as Roz Kaveney, Ruth Pearce, Owen Jones, Shon Faye, Katelyn Burns, Bex Stinson, Zinnia Jones, among others, who considered the assault of Maria MacLachlan as a type of male “honor” crime against a woman they suspected of not adhering to their gender beliefs. No transgender rights organization, LGBT group, or transgender activist publicly condemned his assault.

Wolf was accompanied to court by Anaya Jaidev, an Oxford graduate in Literature who is herself under investigation for assaulting a woman outside a different February 2018 discussion on the impact to women’s rights caused by proposed changes to the Gender Recognition Act. She allegedly struck and snatched the eyeglasses off the face of a woman exiting the event. Anaya Jaidev is a member of fringe group Sister’s Uncut. The group was started in 2014 as a direct action protest against government cuts to women’s services, but rapidly degenerated into a venue for posh young people to demand that strangers affirm the indefinable “gender identities” of those who believe reproductive classification should be determined by personality."

https://gendertrender.wordpress.com/2018/04/13/tanis-wolf-tara-flik-wolf-tara-flik-wood-guilty-as-charged/

And, if trans advocates didn't explicitly support it, they lied about it, as evidenced in this thread.
