Abstract: This paper offers an unorthodox appraisal of empirical research bearing on the question of the low representation of women in philosophy. It contends that fashionable views in the profession concerning implicit bias and stereotype threat are weakly supported, that philosophers often fail to report the empirical work responsibly, and that the standards for evidence are set very low—so long as you take a certain viewpoint.

You're actually obligated to insert a "meme" of some internet-famous popcorn-eating scene.

Merely typing "gets popcorn" shows a woeful lack of commitment.

I am disappoint.

Jender Saul and Hasselslinger play Malcolm Gladwell style tricks with one side of the shitty social science to support their political agenda. Nice.

I didn't realize that the blind audition example is so misleading. It doesn't show a damn thing.

The degree to which these SJWs are subject to confirmation bias is disturbing.

No doubt many SJWs are subject to confirmation bias and poor critical thinking across the board, but some of them have to just be intentionally dishonest, I think. Meaning that they aren't even trying to make true claims. Feelz before realz.

It is transparent that some of then are disingenuous. Take the Balloon. He's always looking to come up with the more extreme version of the SJW position du jour. I cannot bring myself to believe that he believes those things himself. He's just reacting to market incentives.
